Plants as Living Sculpture
A quick preface to the plant section--
This is a section of my site dedicated to plants. I think of plants as living sculpture, the various forms, colors, blooms, everything about them fascinate me. They are  the blankets of the world, our food, our medicine, our muses. We eat them, plant them, harvest them- we build buildings around them only to ultimately be reclaimed by them.
I have a special liking towards cactus, succulents, and bromeliads, but I am not limited to that by any means. I also have the 'regular' types of houseplants,  rare rainforest plants  and some herbs. I plant seeds from my fruit (at this point it's driving my husband nuts  but I can't throw seeds away.) A friend of mine has a 10 foot tall grapefruit tree I gave him almost 10 years ago as a seedling that is now producing fruit- that's how we know it was a grapefruit! lol!   I really love gardening, to say the least. It's one of those things that  will really connect you to the Earth in times where we seem less and less connected to reality.

Above and Below: An unknown Yucca species. Several of these were chopped down after Katrina, which I 'salvaged' , rerooted and this one bloomed the next year! The blooms are  striking and have a sweet scent.
