LUNAR   ECLIPSE
                                   March  03, 2007
What an extraordinary evening! There were clouds earlier in the day but they cleared  for the event.  Armed with cameras, tripod and  coordinates for the pass of the International Space Station (that passed  over at approximately 7:40 pm CST), we headed out to a spot that we figured would be good for optimal viewing. And it was!
There was a father and son there setting up a telescope, and we conversed with them the whole time we were there. He found Saturn, so we got to see that, too.  What an astronomical evening!
Left: The first picture, which turned out blurry, and a later shot, on tripod, over Biloxi, Ms, over Beau Rivage.
Left: Almost finished lunar eclipse over the Beau Rivage, Biloxi, Ms.
All other photos, above and left,  the finishing sequence of the lunar eclipse. People in other parts of  the world saw the moon going into totality, while we were seeing   the moon coming out of it.
