If you're ever in Edwards, Mississippi...
You've Gotta Go to the
'World's Only' ...
Ah, the Cactus Plantation!
While  doing an internet search for cacti  and succulent dealers in Mississippi, I was astounded to learn the 'World's Only'  Cactus Plantation was located in Edwards, Ms., on the outskirts of Jackson.
Although this is somewhatt of a drive from Gulfport, it makes for a nice days' outing- especially while soaking up some of the states' natural wonders, such as  the Petrified Forest,  close  by in Flora.
The  Cactus Plantation  is a neat sprawling acreage  dotted with greenhouses you can go into and buy  cactus, succulents, bromeliads and  other exotic plants.
Almost everything is potted and ready to go, but if it isn't,  chances are you can  buy a cutting-fresh off the plant!  They also have an impressive array of  'in situ'  plantings, with agaves  several feet tall and wide.
According to the owner, they "Are open 364 days a year- we're only closed on Christmas."
I have aquired a lot of plants from here- if you're ever in Edwards-please go  check it out! :)
