| Observed a supernova now called 'Tycho's Supernova'. He made the most precise observations of stellar and plantetary positions then known. It is interesting to note that he also lost part of his nose in a rapier duel when he was about 20 years old. For the rest of his life, he wore a realistic replacement fashioned out of silver and gold, although there is speculation that he also had a copper one that was lighter in weight. Portrait size: 16x20" Acrylic on metal panel. |
